Efficient RBS from bacteriophage T7 gene 10 and Shine Dalgarno
Very strong ribosome binding site resulting from the combination of a gene 10 of bacteriophage T7 (g10-L) RBS and the Shine-Dalgarno RBS. The ribosome binding site derived from gene 10 of bacteriophage T7 (g10-L) causes a pronounced stimulation of expression when placed upstream of a variety of genes. However, if such a g10-L sequence is placed upstream of another RBS, as that of the Shine-Dalgarno sequence, a significant increase in the translation of the genes is observed.
